Here are the latest GP2X releases from the past weeks:
Fenix Game Pack - A pack of 12 games.
Kuklomenos - An abstract shoot-em-up. Minimalistic graphics, short game-length. Gameplay lies somewhere between Centipede and Starship Command.
Mushroom Roulette 1.3 - A puzzle game.
VICE 2.2 - A port of VICE, an emulator for PET, C64, C128, PLUS4, VIC20 and CBM2
GNU Robbo - GNU Robbo is a free open source reimplementation of Janusz Pelc's Robbo for the Atari XE/XL which was distributed by LK Avalon in 1989.
Trap75 - Trap75 is a game like Jezzball, where you need to cover 75% of each level's space without getting your lines hit by the moving balls

Sorry for the delay in news, I have been really busy the past month on my other site and have not had the chance to post news here. So here is a round up of GP2X news from the past two weeks.
GP2X-GO v1.1.0 - A game of Go for the GP2X.

Farox released a port of the fast-paced puzzle game to the GP2X. Biniax-2 is a game of logic and reaction. The 3 game modes allow you to play against the time,

Dodge2x v1.0

Nathan Kewley has released a new game for the GP2X called Dodge where you are a space ship flying through space. Lasers are continuously flying at your ship. The goal of the game is to Dodge the lasers and collect various power-ups that will increase your score, slow down time, temporary invulnerability and more. ZX-81 released an update to his Atari 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 emulator for the GP2X. Changes are: - Cheat support !
- New background images
- Text editor to write your own comments on games
- Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file
- Display first comment line while browsing game files
- Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
- Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter
- Add documentation for settings in help menu
- A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester while selecting any file with the same name of a previously saved game (cartridges, keyboard, settings). It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you have thousand different games on your cartridges folder ! Downloads can be found on the homepage here.

A new version of the GameBoy and GameBoy Color emulator has been released for the GP2X. Changes are: - New graphical modes: Notaz scale on gpSP, Scale2x, Scale53x.
- Fixed a bug on the palette change function and on the clock menu.
- Great changes on core to make it portable (Wiz/Pandora). Includes Pickle's Wiz code.
- Internal clock advance for games that support it (Pokemon Gold).
- New default config for A button, as a lot of people asked, so it's no longer necessary to edit the config file.
- Preliminary support for SuperGameboy. Borders work well, but not palettes. An option to save SGB border and use it on normal mode is included.
- Fixed lots bugs. More information and the downloads here.

Defeat Me v1.0.0

Defeat Me is a simple shooting game where once you've beaten all enemies on a level, a version of how you played gets added as an enemy on the next level. So, basically, you are faighting always with more and more versions of yourself from the past levels. Sounds like a good idea! Downloads can be found here.

ZX-81 released a new version of his Colecovision emulator for the GP2X. Changes are:- A thumbnail image is now displayed in the file requester while selecting any file with the same name of a previously saved game (roms, keyboard, settings).
It might be very helpful to recognize that game later if you have thousand different games in your rom folder !
- Save state dates are displayed in the emulator window
- Save state files are now saved using gzip compression
(with STZ as file extention). It's much faster to save or load states now. You can use gzip or 7-zip to convert old STA to STZ. STA file format is still supported for loading, so you convert your previous saved files inside the emulator. (it's now easier to identify and to load the right save state slot)
- Cheat support !
- Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code !
- Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file
- Text editor to write your own comments on games
- Display first comment line while browsing game files
- Auto fire support for second joystick
- Zip rom files are decompressed in memory (much faster !)
- Improve file requester with virtual keyboard to choose sequentially rom files beginning with a given letter
- Add documentation for settings in help menu
- Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
- Add several new hotkeys :
. settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed can now be directly modified inside the emulator (no need to enter in the settings menu)
. quick save / quick load current state (no need to enter in the main menu)
- Add ntsc/pal option and fix issue with default speed (emulator was too slow in ntsc mode) Downloads available on his homepage here.
