Hi everybody, I have been browsing these forums for quite some time now, and I would like to let you all know about my new program, Planeswalker. It allows you to play the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering on your Palm OS 5 PDA, similar to the programs Apprentice and Magic Workstation available for the PC platform.

Here is a screenshot:

Current features include:
Full Magic: The Gathering card database
Card Editor to create your own Magic Cards
Deck Editor to enter and play with your own decks

I have submitted it to PalmGear so if it gets approved it should be up in a couple days, but until then, if you're interested, you can download it from my Yahoo Briefcase:

http://f1.pg.briefca...r=/Planeswalker

It's completely free, so if you play Magic, give it a try. :)

This is my first application for the Palm platform, and it is not quite complete (although it is completely playable), so I would appreciate any comments, suggestions, or bugs you have found. Post here or send me an e-mail.

Thanks!

I think this is absolutely incredible. I've been waiting for a conversion like this for about 4 years now!

Unfortunately, the link you provided isn't working. Could you please provide a different one? I would sincerely love to try this out.

Do you have an alternate download link ?
Thanks,

Very strange; you can try going to my root briefcase link here:

http://briefcase.yah...n@ameritech.net

And click on the Planeswalker directory. The file is called Planeswalker_v08.zip.

Ah! Someone with webspace! :)

Thank you very much for hosting my program; although your self-extractor does not appear to include the User's Manual or the second pre-made deck (DarkDevotionCardList.pdb) which is included in the original zip.

Yeah, I tried, and Yahoo said that you didn't enable shared folders.

Thanks new guy for the files.

Thanks again, FluxCapacitor!

Whoops, not much I can do about it now. Hope your server comes back soon. Although as a suggestion, I noticed on a few of the card descriptions there was a \n instead of actually making a new line. Also it would be nice if there was an option to tap and then tap on a card to see an enlarged picture of it (large enough to have readable text). I realize that would make the database size much larger but there are large enough SD cards available now, and plenty of Magic nuts.

Edit: Also 480*320 would be nice. And congratulations your first Palm game :P
