Yes, I'm afraid so, and they didn't work, either!

Although as a suggestion, I noticed on a few of the card descriptions there was a \n instead of actually making a new line. Also it would be nice if there was an option to tap and then tap on a card to see an enlarged picture of it (large enough to have readable text). I realize that would make the database size much larger but there are large enough SD cards available now, and plenty of Magic nuts.

Edit: Also 480*320 would be nice. And congratulations your first Palm game :P

The '\n' problem occurs because I converted my database over from the card database for Apprentice. I will see if I can figure out a way to fix that.

As for the card pictures, I agree that would be a great feature, but seeing as how there are nearly 10,000 Magic cards, to hold hi-res shots of all of them would take an enormous amount of space. (as in 600-700MB) It might be feasible, though, to have low-res in-game pictures for all the cards. Right now I just use one picture for each color plus lands. Also, I need to figure out a way to get readable but small text to show the card names on the in-game cards. The default palm fonts are too large, and only about two characters show up on a card.

And 320x480 will likely be implemented in the future. I'd also like to experiment with Bluetooth, so two players could play on different devices, although I haven't looked into that yet so I don't know how difficult it is to implement.

Thanks to everyone who has tried my program; has anyone been able to get it up and running to play a game with? Max: Did you install the file PlaneswalkerCardDB.pdb? That file contains the full card database.

Here are another two links for those who haven't been able to download it yet (although these will probably break soon as well (10MB transfer limit)). <_<
I should have waited to post about it until it was up at PalmGear, heh.

I'm not sure why the Yahoo Briefcase links are not working; That's the only one I actually pay for (from my ISP) so I'm supposed to have a lot of bandwidth on it.

*edit* Here is another link to a smaller archive which contains only the User's Manual and the Dark Devotion theme deck, for those who downloaded The New Guy's files.

Hmm.... whenever I click on the links, I get the message that www.sitesled.com cannot be found! This happens today whenever I try to bring up your zodiac guide, as well!

The zodiac guide, at least, worked just yesterday for me, so I have no idea what's going on, now....

The links worked here and I can't wait to play! Years ago I used to play online. I love the game but I am such an old codger that finding anyone else to play with is pretty impossible. LOL. It's bad to be one of the few in a generation who never grows up!!

Wow. Must be a problem with my ISP, or something. I dunno. Big thanks to the dev, however, for emailing the file!! :D

So problem solved! (sort of.)

thanx for updating the packs, I couldn't get anywhere last night with the replacement hosting. So, I'm trying it now (for real!) :D

::edit:: ok, I've gotten everything installed to the internal memory on my z2, I go to the menu and hit new game, select a deck for each player and hit begin game, then it goes to an empty playfield and I don't know what to do next. I've read through the readme and the user manual, can anyone help me? thanx!

You need to draw seven cards for each player by tapping on the library icons seven times. Then tap on each player's hand icon to see the contents of his hand and to put cards into play.
