That internal shot on the FAQ is not from a JXD 301!

I have taken some crappy shots below and will be taking some better ones later today.

Thanks for letting me know. I am not sure if you added better images, the last ones look better though so you probably have? If they are let me know and I will add them to the Dev FAQ.

Thanks for the photos. From the photos provided, here are some data links for the peripheral chips visible:

CY7C68001 EZ-USB SX2 ™ High-Speed USB Interface Device
http://www.cypress.c...p...001&ref=sch

TI TLV320AIC23B High-Performance Stereo CODEC with Headphone Amp

The first chip was also in the V2000 photo, but I couldn't make out its markings for sure. Are there any chips on the other side of the PC board? Keep in mind that the purpose of the photos is only to identify the chips used and, if their markings can't be read, they can't be identified. The larger chips are the ones of most interest.

BTW, don't worry about getting the chip IDs of the two large chips below the Blackfin processor. They're just the DRAM and flash memory chips, both of which are visible and identifiable in the V2000 photos.

Hellos,

it appears these players:

http://www.dealextre...ls.dx/sku.10238
http://www.dealextre...ils.dx/sku.9504

contain a BF531@400mhz (less L1 cache, max 400mhz)

Here's a page showing the second player with some more detailed specs:

http://www.made-in-c...MP4-Player.html

here's another showing a third player, also with detailed specs

http://livetech.en.a...MP4_Player.html

It appears that these cheaper players have a different firmware than the JXD301 and other 533-based players, and can be had for about 60usd (yes, ~40 euro). Interestingly enough, these cheaper models also sport a 300kpixel camera :) It appears that these players are so much cheaper because of the cheaper proc, the smaller internal memory (1gb vs 2gb), and probably other things like less RAM, crappy build quality, crappy screen etc.

Still, might be interesting for people who just want to own a BF based toy to mess around with, I mean come on, 60 bucks :-D

Does anybody still have the internal photos from the other BF device that were originally posted? I think they were from an Ainol V2000. The sanded chip in the JXD is proving hard to identify and I was wondering if other similar players had the same one.
